[:en]On Tuesday 18th<\/sup> April 2022, the Piarist Scholasticate in Yaounde had a Solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided by the provincial superior, Rev. Fr. Evaristus Akem Ndi, Sch.P. This comes to mark the end of his annual canonical visit to our formation house. The liturgy which was beautifully led by the piarist scholastics in yaounde, had as focus the reception of piarist and ecclesiastical ministries.<\/p>\n

The piarist ministries (Ministry of the Service of the Poor and Ministry of Christian Education) are centered on the Charism of the Order of the Pious Schools. The ecclesiastical ministries (Ministry of Lector and Ministry of Acolyte) are for the service of the church during Eucharistic celebration. The acolyte is instituted for service at the altar and to assist the Priest and Deacon. It is his place principally to prepare the altar and the sacred vessels and, if necessary, to distribute the Eucharist to the faithful as an extraordinary minister. In the ministry of the altar, the acolyte has his own proper functions (General Instruction of the Roman Missal 187-193), which he must carry out in person. The lector is instituted to proclaim the readings from Sacred Scripture, with the exception of the Gospel. He may also announce the intentions for the Universal Prayer and, in the absence of a psalmist, recite the Psalm between the readings. In the celebration of the Eucharist, the lector has his own proper function (General Instruction of the Roman Missal 194-198), which he himself must carry out.<\/p>\n

In his homily, Father Provincial encouraged the brothers to work for the construction of the Piarist Province of Central Africa in particular and the Order of the Pious Schools in general through positive mind-set and lives full of testimonies of love and service. The Rector of the community, Father Paulinus Abose, Sch.P<\/em>, thanked the Provincial Superior for his fatherly love and presence that his visit has blessed us with. Present for the Mass were the fomators of the scholasticate in Yaounde, and few number of Christians. The Eucharistic Banquet officially closed the canonical visit of the provincial superior. The day ended with a fraternal meal and merry making.<\/p>\n

Le mardi 18 avril 2022, le scolasticat piariste de Yaound\u00e9 a eu une c\u00e9l\u00e9bration eucharistique solennelle pr\u00e9sid\u00e9e par le sup\u00e9rieur provincial, le R\u00e9v. Evaristus Akem Ndi, Sch.P. Cela vient marquer la fin de sa visite canonique annuelle \u00e0 notre maison de formation. La liturgie qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 magnifiquement dirig\u00e9e par les scolastiques piaristes \u00e0 yaound\u00e9, avait pour objectif l’accueil des minist\u00e8res piaristes et eccl\u00e9siastiques. <\/span><\/p>\n

Les minist\u00e8res piaristes (Minist\u00e8re du Service des Pauvres et Minist\u00e8re de l’\u00c9ducation Chr\u00e9tienne) sont centr\u00e9s sur le Charisme de l’Ordre des \u00c9coles Pies. Les minist\u00e8res eccl\u00e9siastiques (minist\u00e8re de lecteur et minist\u00e8re d’acolyte) sont au service de l’\u00e9glise pendant la c\u00e9l\u00e9bration eucharistique. L’acolyte est institu\u00e9 pour servir \u00e0 l’autel et assister le pr\u00eatre et le diacre. Il lui appartient principalement de pr\u00e9parer l’autel et les vases sacr\u00e9s et, si n\u00e9cessaire, de distribuer l’Eucharistie aux fid\u00e8les en tant que ministre extraordinaire. Dans le minist\u00e8re de l’autel, l’acolyte a des fonctions propres (Instruction g\u00e9n\u00e9rale du Missel romain 187-193), qu’il doit exercer en personne. <\/span><\/p>\n

Le lecteur est institu\u00e9 pour proclamer les lectures de l’Ecriture Sainte, \u00e0 l’exception de l’Evangile. Il peut aussi annoncer les intentions de la Pri\u00e8re Universelle et, en l’absence de psalmiste, r\u00e9citer le Psaume entre les lectures. Dans la c\u00e9l\u00e9bration de l’Eucharistie, le lecteur a sa propre fonction (Instruction g\u00e9n\u00e9rale du Missel romain 194-198), qu’il doit accomplir lui-m\u00eame. Dans son hom\u00e9lie, le P\u00e8re Provincial a encourag\u00e9 les fr\u00e8res \u00e0 travailler pour la construction de la Province piariste d’Afrique centrale en particulier et de l’Ordre des \u00c9coles Pies en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral \u00e0 travers un \u00e9tat d’esprit positif et des vies pleines de t\u00e9moignages d’amour et de service. Le Recteur de la communaut\u00e9, le P\u00e8re Paulinus Abose, Sch.P, a remerci\u00e9 le Sup\u00e9rieur provincial pour son amour paternel et sa pr\u00e9sence dont sa visite nous a b\u00e9nis. Etaient pr\u00e9sents \u00e0 la messe les fondateurs du scolasticat de Yaound\u00e9, et quelques chr\u00e9tiens en nombre. Le banquet eucharistique a cl\u00f4tur\u00e9 officiellement la visite canonique du sup\u00e9rieur provincial. La journ\u00e9e s’est termin\u00e9e par un repas fraternel et des r\u00e9jouissances.<\/span><\/p>\n
