The students of our college gathered in the Acts Hall of the Calasanz Cultural Centre for activities marking International Book and Copyright Day. On the programme, the children competed in a creative exercise for the longest speech, followed by a series of activities that presented the protagonist of this day, the Spanish author Miguel de Cervantes; some of his works and his life. The day ended with the presentation of the school magazine written by the students and later, in the afternoon, a presentation of a book written by a local author.

In the perspective of the sharing mission and the creation of a fraternity in Equatorial Guinea, the laity of the community of Ebebiyin, accompanied by the coordinator of the sharing mission in Equatorial Guinea, held a meeting of exchange and formation in the afternoon of 23 April. During this meeting, they were first informed about the reality of the laity in Ebebiyin, and gave news about the current situation in the province. Then followed the planning of an assembly for the laity in Equatorial Guinea and the proposal of certain activities for the integral development of each member of the laity. Finally, a theme was proposed on fraternity. It was a question of clarifying certain doubts and leading them to open up to the spirit of fraternity. The evening ended with a series of questions and answers between the laity and the coordinator of the mission sharing in Equatorial Guinea.

Yesterday,  20th of April, the monitors of the Calasanz Movement of Akurenam had a day of formation and reflection on the profile of the monitor and the values of the Calasanz Movement.

For the first time in Equatorial Guinea we celebrated today the International Volunteer Day of ITAKA ESCOLAPIOS. We started with a Eucharistic celebration to thank God for this day, then we had a talk about what it is to be a Piarist volunteer and also a discussion. The second part of the day was dedicated to recreational activities and a visit to a sick person.

An excursion took place with the children and youth of the Calasanz Movement of Akonibe and Akurenam in the city of Mongomo (Equatorial Guinea). The objective was to discover the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, to discover some touristic places of the city of Mongomo and also to have a time of conviviality with the children and young people.
