[:en]This Wednesday, February 15, 2023, was held at the Saint Joseph Calasanz Nursery School in Abobo Yaoundé (Cameroon), the first edition of the school garden with the teachers, students and Piarist volunteers from Yaoundé. During the session, the volunteers cultivated 4 small plots, and together with the children, they sowed corn, pistachio and tomato seeds. They then put the droppings and watered the fields. They will continue the upkeep of the garden by watering and checking the vegetable patch. The children were happy, and together with the teachers, they were receptive to the transmission of knowledge from the Piarist volunteers.

[:fr]Ce mercredi 15 février 2023, s’est tenu à l’Ecole Maternelle Saint Joseph Calasanz d’Abobo Yaoundé (Cameroun), la première édition du jardin scolaire avec les maitresses, les élèves et les volontaires piaristes de Yaoundé. Pendant la séance, les volontaires ont cultivés 4 petites parcelles, et avec les enfants, ils ont ensemble semé les graines de maïs, de pistache et la tomate. Ils ont par la suite mis les fientes et ont arrosés les champs. Ils continueront l’entretien du jardin en arrosant et en vérifiant le potager. Les enfants étaient joyeux, et avec les enseignants, ils se sont montrés réceptifs à la transmission de connaissance des volontaires piaristes.
