On Saturday, 25th March 2023, the Piarist Scholasticate in Yaounde had a Solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided by Rev Father Evaristus AKEM NDI Sch.P, the Provincial Superior of the Piarist Province of Central Africa, during which brothers received the Piarist and Ecclesiastical ministries.
In his homily drawn from the Marian phrase “Let it be done on to me according to your word” (Luke 1:38b), Father Provincial thanked God for the gift of Piarist vocations in the church and encouraged the brothers to model their ministerial works in accordance to the will of God like Mary, through testimonies of love and service. He exhorted them to carry out proper liturgical preparation before exercising any liturgical activity.
The Piarist and Ecclesiastical Ministries received were : the Ministry of the Service of the Poor, the Ministry of Christian Education, the Ministry of Lector, and the Ministry of Acolyte
The Eucharistic Banquet that was concelebrated by Father Julien KOUNOU and Father Paulinus ABOSE, ended with the handing of certificates to the ministers, a collection of photos and merry making in the Piarist Scholasticate of Yaounde.
