Educators schools

Itaka-Escolapios has officially recognised schools for leisure time educators, which train students as leisure time monitors and leisure time directors. They also offer monographic courses and food handling courses.

Some of the signs of identity of these schools are:

They ensure the training of the educators of the educational leisure time groups of Itaka-Escolapios, the Calasanz movement.

  • They are open to society in general, providing training to all those who wish to do so.
  • They offer the possibility of giving the different courses to already formed teams of leaders. When it comes to giving these courses, they are usually flexible when it comes to setting the day, time and even the place where the course will be given in order to support the educational work they carry out in their groups. The aim of the schools is to facilitate their educational work with training courses.
  • The schools do not only provide training, but also offer accompaniment and advice to teams of leaders who, either because they are just starting out or because of their specific situation, require such help. The schools aim to strengthen the network of associations.
  • Promotion and advice on volunteering: the schools promote social volunteering through their training, but they also advise those people who intend to start volunteering. They provide information on different associations where they can volunteer.

All or a very high percentage of the school's teaching staff come from the world of educational leisure time and continue to be active in voluntary work.
