THE THIRD DAY OF THE FIFTH ADVISORY COUNCIL OF THE ITAKA ESCOLAPIOS NETWORK COMES TO AN END

The morning began with a prayer prepared by the Executive Committee. The two morning sessions have been dedicated to a new time of work in groups with subsequent sharing in plenary, this time with the aim of proposing concrete steps forward in the Network for the next courses.

The groups have reflected on how to advance in the two lines of the Strategic Plan 2021-2027, ‘towards a shared Piarist subject’ and ‘to grow in shared Piarist mission’, putting forward proposals in the organization of the Network and demarcations, internal communication, between different Piarist realities and towards society… as well as numerous initiatives and activities that could be implemented. It will be the work of the coming months to concretise the actions.

The first afternoon session was organised, for the first time in this Advisory Council, by districts in order to evaluate the work of these three days, to contextualise it to each reality and to specify the next steps in each district.

After the sharing, we proceeded to read a draft of the final letter resulting from this Advisory Council addressed to the ITAKA ESCOLAPIOS NETWORK and to all the Pious Schools. With the contributions made in the plenary session, the executive committee is responsible for drafting the final version of the Advisory Council’s closing letter, which will be distributed in the next few days.

The day ended with the Eucharist presided by Fr. Juan Alfonso Sierra.
