Week of celebration, week of joy: in Cameroon, the festivities for Calasanctian Week are continuing in fine style. Yesterday, Thursday November 23, we had several activities in our works and communities. At the CABAC in Messamendongo (Yaoundé), we were treated to a super match with the students.
COSCACIC Bafia hosted the finals of a number of sporting activities: shot-putting, handball and soccer, followed by a match between teachers and parents invited for the occasion.
In the north-west (Bamenda, Menteh), the director of SAJOCCCOL opened the curtains by lighting the flame of the Calasanzian week. The day was then spiced up with activities such as match passing, staging and games. Since Sunday, all works in Bamenda have been commemorating the life of St. Joseph Calasanz through spiritual, social, cultural and traditional activities.
Across the national triangle, all Piarist works and communities are taking this commemoration very seriously. For those of you who are late to the party, we look forward to seeing you there, as the activities come to a close on November 27.
