The 13th edition of Itaka Se Mueve arrived in Valencia

20-05-2025

Once again, the Escuelas Pías de Malvarrosa school brought together families, volunteers, teachers and friends in one of the classic events of the Valencia branch, the Itaka Se Mueve. The weather forecast did not make the participants hesitate, who came with all the utensils and ingredients to cook their paellas and, above all, to spend a great day together.

In the end, not a drop fell so, in addition to cooking, we also had games and solidarity race in which children participated (and also some adults), and we recovered the Paddle Solidarity Tournament, which, in its second edition, had eight couples who started the day doing sport (and laughing for a while).

There were also prizes, very close, both for the winning couple and for the best paella; and the raffle and the flea market, whose benefits, like all those of the day, are destined to this year's solidarity campaign, “Abriendo caminos” (Opening roads).

And, of course, as every year we were able to meet familiar faces and some new families who came to enjoy Itaka se Mueve and friends, and to get to know each other a little more. All this, thanks to the collaboration of many people and companies who selflessly contributed their grain of sand so that everything went perfectly:

To the school Escolapios Malvarrosa and its management team, headed by the headmaster Vicente Climent and the director, Antonio Moya, for their always open doors; to the ACPA of the center, for their donation for the event; to the Valencia Tennis Center for the transfer of courts for the paddle tournament; to Álvaro Zaragoza, for the organization of the same; to Enrique Camp and his company Perfildur, for the firewood that every year provides us with for the paellas; to Ale-Hop, Zuru Toys and CopiValencia, for the donations for the raffle and the raffle; to the students, students and teachers of the school's kitchen, who made some pastries for us; to Ale-Hop, Zuru Toys and CopiValencia, for the donations for the flea market and the raffle; to the students and teachers of FP cooking at the school who made us some delicious dessert cakes; to all the volunteers who lovingly prepared every detail and were at their best all day, and finally, to all the people who came and made another unforgettable Itaka se Mueve.
