Christmas holidays full of life in Vitoria

13-01-2026

During these Christmas holidays, at Itaka Escolapios in Vitoria-Gasteiz, we haven't been sitting still. These have been intense days, full of encounters, shared work, and, above all, a lot of community life.

We started by enjoying a different and very fun plan with a trip to the ice rink, where laughter and the occasional fall helped us to continue strengthening the group. We also actively collaborated in the foundation's leisure group camps, within the Calasanz Movement, contributing our grain of sand to an educational and transformative experience for children and young people.

Sport and the festive spirit also had their place as we participated together in the San Silvestre Gasteiztarra race, seeing out the year in a healthy and communal way.

In addition, this Christmas has been accompanied by important changes: we have moved out of our apartment while we carry out renovations on the previous one. This has meant a lot of work, as we have also had to make some improvements to the new house: laying the floor, assembling furniture, and adapting the space to make it truly ours. We have been able to do all this with the collaboration of the boys from the home themselves.

To celebrate, we organized a very special housewarming party for the new apartment, sharing kebabs, laughter, and a movie together, putting the finishing touch on a few days of hard work, coexistence, and shared joy.

Without a doubt, this vacation has helped us continue building our home, our group, and our project.
