The Pious Schools of Cameroon signed an agreement to join the Itaka-Piarist network in 2008, and the Pious Schools of Central Africa renewed their commitment in 2013.

Our presence, coordinated from the office in Yaounde, focuses on the municipalities of Bafia, Bamenda, Bamendjou and Bandjoun, Menteh and Kumbo.

Cameroon, like many countries in Africa, is currently facing challenges arising from socio-political conflicts and insecurity, which have led to forced displacement and economic disparities. These challenges, exacerbated by tensions in the two Anglophone regions (North West and South West), the Far North region and the current refugee crisis, threaten the social fabric of peace. More than 70,000 pupils are out of school due to the crises and economic activities have slowed down. Despite these adversities, Cameroonians have remained resilient, showing a remarkable capacity to rebuild their lives and their societies.
