The Piarists since 2019, at the request of the Provincial Chapter, took over the parish of San Juan Bosco (located in the area of La Cuchilla, between the 5th and 6th Ring) and the four Domingo Savio Educational Units, by order of the Archbishop of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. In 2020, the Calasanz Center will open its doors with tutoring classes. Linked to the parish is the Calasanz Movement's pastoral proposal with about 400 children, adolescents and young people. The Piarist mission in Santa Cruz is mostly carried out by volunteers. There is only one person hired for school activities.
