ApS Dreaming Congo II

The Peñascal Cooperative, the Piarist schools in Kinshasa and Bilbao, and Itaka-Escolapios continue to dream together. This school year, we will once again launch a Service-Learning Project involving the four organizations, focused on plastic recycling, the reuse of cell phone components, and children’s rights.

The organizing team has already designed the project. The ApS project will involve students from the preschool, elementary, and secondary levels at the school in the DRC; 1st and 2nd grades of elementary school, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades of middle school, and 1st year of high school at the school in Bilbao; and 1st year of the basic electrical engineering program and other programs at the Peñascal Cooperative for the awareness-raising component. The project will officially kick off with a video conference among the three educational communities on April 21.
