Trueba Cabin

The Estacas de Trueba cabin is located in Sel de Losa in the Trueba Valley, in the province of Burgos, 90 km from Bilbao.

From Bilbao, take the BI-636 toward Balmaseda. From there, continue to Espinosa de los Monteros, passing by Villasana de Mena and going up the El Cabrio pass. After passing through Espinosa de los Monteros, leave the town and head toward Las Machorras. After passing this village, you’ll find a crossroads where the road splits in two: one toward Lunada (do not take this road) and the other toward the ESTACAS DE TRUEBA pass (this is the correct road). About 8 km from the crossroads, you’ll find the entrance gate to the cabin.

The cabin has a capacity for about 40 people. It has heating and hot water.

The house has 2 floors. On the ground floor there is the kitchen, a large dining room, a game room (foosball and ping pong table), and a bathroom and shower area. On the first floor there is a large dormitory with bunk beds and a small room with 2 double bunk beds. There is also an adjoining meeting room with a fireplace, TV, and DVD.

The outdoor area consists of large fields bordering the Trueba River. There are many excursion possibilities in the area: Castro Balnera, Valle del Pas, La Engaña Tunnel…

The house can be rented as a whole and is fully equipped. Priority in reservations is given to schools, ikastolas, parishes, youth clubs, and associations with a primarily educational background.

No cook service is provided.
