The WASH Project in Cameroon Continues, with Initial Results Already Visible

The community of Tchoum, in Bamendjou (Cameroon), is already seeing some of the results of the Itaka-Escolapios project “Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene for Elementary School Children,” funded by the City Council of Tafalla and the Ibercaja Foundation, which has now reached the midpoint of its implementation period.

During this time, work has been completed on the installation of the water system, which includes a well with a hand pump. This has already contributed significantly to improving the environment and living conditions for the children in this community. In addition, significant progress has been made on the construction of latrines.

These two works, along with the ongoing health awareness raising and hygiene promotion sessions, are contributing to a change in Tchoum that is already evident, even though we are only halfway through the project’s implementation.
