The Errotazarra Hostel is located in the town of Barria, a neighborhood belonging to the administrative council of Narbaiza. Together with 15 other administrative councils, it forms the municipality of San Millán in the eastern part of the Llanada Alavesa.

To get there from Vitoria (Distance: 24.8 km. Estimated time: 35 min.), take the N-104 road toward Pamplona. About 10 kilometers later, after passing the village of Matauko, at the end of a long straight stretch, ignore the entrance to the A-1 and continue on the left toward Ozaeta (A-3012). Pass through Venta del Patio, Maturana, Ozaeta, Hermua, Larrea, and Axpuru. About 500 meters after the last village, you’ll see a sign reading “Barria 400 m.” Turn left to enter. The hostel is a white building in the Neo-Basque style, located just past the old convent whose wall you’ll see as soon as you arrive.

The hostel is also accessible by Arababus public transport.

The hostel can accommodate up to 60 people. It has heating and hot water. On the ground floor, you’ll find the kitchen, dining room, several multipurpose rooms, and restrooms. The upper floor houses the chapel, dormitories, toilets, and showers. The lower semi-basement floor features an open 200 m² space, perfect for indoor games.

The hostel has a large outdoor area with parking, grass, trees, and a sports court. The entire property is surrounded by walls, and inside there are other buildings, gardens, and greenhouses used for other purposes, where animals may be present. It’s important to respect any closed fences and not enter those areas to avoid accidents with the animals.

The area offers many excursion options: the Elguea mountain range, the Aizkorri-Aratz Natural Park, the GR-25 trail, walks along the Barrundia tracks, Mount Aldaia, among others.

The house is rented as a whole and is fully equipped. A minimum of 22 people is required to rent it; smaller groups must still pay for that minimum. It is reserved mainly for schools, ikastolas, parishes, youth clubs, and associations with an educational background.
