The Province of Central Africa in honour of Our Lady of the Pious Schools

It is with joy and happiness that the Calasanz school of Bafia celebrated today, with its pupils and a day of anticipation the FESTIVAL OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY, VIRGIN OF THE PIE SCHOOLS.
For this purpose, it was by a mass of thanksgiving that a great thank you was said to the Lord for his mother and to Mary for what she is and represents for the PIES SCHOOLS of the world and for ALL THE FAMILIES <<The mother>>.


Father Javier major superior of the province of Brasil-Bolivia and president of the Itaka-Escolapios network accompanied by Igor, general coordinator visited the children of  Saint Joseph Calasanz of Tchoum  in Bamendjou. With a message of hope for the future, they appreciated the work and efforts done by all the piarists (Teachers, Volunteers, Religious etc..) in that presence


Central Africa through the Calasanz school in Bafia engaged in the fight against the spread of Covid-19

In a health context tense by the presence of Covid-19, the Calasanz School of Bafia of the Piarist Fathers following a real alert of 02 cases of contamination in its midst hastened to align itself in close coalition with the institutions indicated. To this end, all the students who had been in contact with these cases were tested, always with a view to ensuring the health and social security of all by saying: NO a Covid-19.

Celebration of the life of St. Joseph of Calasanz

February 25th, as every 25th of every month is a very important day for the magpies schools of the world. That is why we had a celebration in honour of St. Joseph of Calasanz at the Calasanz de Bafia School (COSCABIC).


Central Africa is part of the process of reflection on the future vision 2021-2027 of the ITAKA network through this 1st meeting.

On Monday 8th February, the operational team of Itaka Escolapios of CENTRAL AFRICA met to discuss different topics in order to improve the quality of life of the ITAKA works in the province and to ensure their sustainability, as well as to contribute to the future vision of ITAKA ESCOLAPIOS for the period 2021-2027. The importance of the reflection on this future vision 2021-2027 is such that this meeting ended with the setting up of a long process of work to be carried out as a team.

Visit of works, projects and communities of Cameroon

From December 14th to 18th, 2020, the central office team of Itaka Foundation Central Africa visited all the works, projects and communities of Cameroon in order to assess the activities that have taken place since the beginning of the new academic year 2020-2021.
