Meeting on “Educating for Social Transformation”

The training department of the Itaka-Escolapios network organizes an annual online training meeting, which this year brought together people from various Piarist districts to reflect on the transformative nature of our educational and evangelizing work.

The keynote address was given by Piarist Carlos Aguerrea. He began by highlighting the transformative role of the Church, based on official documents from Popes Francis and Leo IV and on the Gospel. Father Aguerrea then shared his assessment of the current historical moment and went on to raise questions about the transformative work of our Piarist institutions.
It is worth noting the reflective and revitalizing spirit that was experienced in the six online working groups that we had afterwards.

The meeting ended by opening the doors to continue sharing, from our various training plans, the analysis of reality and the good practices that we already carry out.
