Educa meeting in Cercedilla

More than 30 people from Itaka-Escolapios and schools in the province of Betania participated last week in the EDUCA Meeting, held in Cercerdilla.

With the aim of highlighting our commitment to the “Full-Time Schools” proposed by the Order of the Pious Schools and promoting local momentum for the Global Education Pact, the EDUCA Betania Team once again convened the local coordination groups and social transformation teams from our schools, joined by five people from our “neighboring” districts: Escolapios Emaús and l’Escola Pia de Catalunya.

The main focus of the session on Wednesday, the 29th, was to delve deeper into each of the commitments that most of our schools have undertaken over the past two academic years as Educational Centers for Social Transformation and members of the EDUCA Network; both in their theoretical and practical significance, as we were able to share many best practices we are already implementing in Castellón, Oviedo, Salamanca, EEPP Malvarrosa, Calasanz in Valencia, Calasancio in Madrid, and Bilbao, … among others.

Once again, it was a rich exchange thanks to the attendees, and a source of momentum and inspiration for transformative actions and proposals to continue growing and having a positive impact on our Piarist identity within our local communities.
