It is a socio-educational center where we support people of all ages, from school-age children with educational support and leisure activities, to adults in vulnerable situations through training, social, and legal assistance.
• Educational Support and Socio-Educational Center
We provide educational support at all levels of primary and secondary education, helping with both academic and relational difficulties.
Children receive help from volunteers with their schoolwork in different subjects, but also find a space where they can interact with peers and adults, focused on coexistence and tolerance.
• Support for Migrants
At Ikaskide, we provide comprehensive support to newcomers—most often recently arrived in Spain, though not always—helping them move forward as quickly as possible in their integration and access to employment, administrative, linguistic, and social inclusion in the Pamplona area.
From Spanish literacy and beginner language classes to courses preparing for the Spanish nationality exams, legal assistance with regularization (residency and work permits, family reunification, nationality applications, etc.), and social support. We also provide spaces for newly arrived youth to meet peers, both local and from other countries, through cultural and leisure activities. Teranga, which means “hospitality” in Wolof, reflects a way of community life in which everyone belongs.
• Social Guidance
We assist with everyday administrative tasks to facilitate personal development. We have an employment support area where we help applicants search for jobs online and provide advice on writing CVs and preparing for job interviews.
Through our legal assistance service, we address issues related to housing, rentals, municipal registration, and labor rights violations. We also provide broad administrative support in areas such as education, healthcare, taxes, and other matters as they arise.
• Social and Labor Integration
We offer various training courses to improve employability for people facing barriers to the labor market, whether due to their legal status or other circumstances. At Ikaskide, we provide computer courses at different levels—from basic computer use to Word and Excel skills—along with training in caregiving for dependent persons and sewing workshops, which also serve as a space for socialization, especially for people with more limited support networks than locals.
