Meeting with the General Congregation

Last Friday, May 23, the Executive Commission of the Network held a meeting by videoconference with the General Congregation of the Order. This meeting is part of the commitment to maintain a fluid dialogue and regular meetings between both teams, in the promotion of the Itaka-Escolapios Network within the Pious Schools.

It is now a year since the celebration in Rome of the V Advisory Council (May 27-29, 2024), and the first thing that was recalled was what that important meeting entailed and some of its main conclusions. They also reviewed the most relevant events of the past year in terms of the joint work of the Order and the Network. Then, they opened the dialogue on how to deepen the strategic collaboration between both, from the keys of life of the Order, the roadmap of the General Congregation and the strategic plan of Itaka-Escolapios. Those present agreed to continue this reflection with a new, broader meeting in a few months.

Pedro Aguado for his trajectory as Superior General of the Order, as well as to the one who will replace him in this service from June 14, Fr. Carles Gil i Saguer, also present.

In summary, a meaningful meeting with good harmony among all the participants, which served to value what we are building together and, above all, to look to the future.
