First meeting of regional training managers

Itaka-Escolapios held the first meeting of people responsible for training processes in the Itaka Escolapios regions, with the aim of identifying each person in charge, discussing plans and activities in this area, their strengths, weaknesses, and challenges, and reaching some agreements, suggestions, or lines of action.

In general, there was discussion about plans for education in free time; training of youth leaders; unification of criteria among the different platforms that constitute the Piarist presence or works of mission; and topics such as identity, promotion of women, care for migrants, adult literacy, equality plans, prevention for children and adolescents, the use of artificial intelligence, languages, and pastoral training for those responsible.

As conclusions, the following were proposed as possible lines of progress for this group:

1. Have a means of communication to feel like a team and work as a network. Share names, positions, and email addresses.
2. Hold two meetings a year, one to share challenges and another to evaluate progress.
3. Offer existing training plans among the Demarcations.
4. Explicitly invite us to the training meetings of the Itaka-Escolapios network.
5. Collect proposals and interests from the different demarcations for the organization of the next annual online training meeting of the Itaka-Escolapios network.
6. Make progress on the language issue: in meetings, in materials, etc.
7. The Itaka-Escolapios network can translate training resources into different languages; request them with confidence and peace of mind.
8. Get in touch to request training resources, courses, or to share the district organization model in the field of training. Feel the support of the network's training team.
